SMOKING IN THE THEATRE.
TO TUB XDITOB. Sis,—Unless the managers of the Wilhelmj concerts stop the prevailing nuisance of smoking in the pit asd corridors, they will low ticket money—certainly in pit and stalls, most probably also in the dress circle. X know several persons who, like myself, have abstained from attending the theatre, and that quite recently, in consequence of the vile smell of tobacco smoke so prevalent there. Then there is the everlasting baby, who invariably contrives to ruin the most delicate passages in a beautiful solo of some great performer, such as we have now coming amongst us. I shall certainly go onoe to hear Herr Wilhelmj, but am hardly likely to go » second time if compelled to endure the stench of the Abominably un-“ fragrant weed” which so many indulge m at the theatre. I may state that I am myself A SMOKER.
