A new salmon canning establishment has been opened on the Columbia river, styled the Union Packing Company. The shareholders are all natives of Finland, with the exception of two Laplanders and two Seandinarip.no. There are 40 shareholders altogether, who perform the work of catching, canning, and keeping the accounls of the company.
