[FROM OUB OWS COBBMKWDMT.J I hear the Board of Education have decided upon the appointment of Mr J, B. Borthwick to fill the vacant head mastership of the Kowai Pass School. It may be remembered that there were ten applicants for the position, and the School Committee disagreeing, it was decided to refer the matter to the; Board of Education, and leave the choice to them. Mr Borthwick hears high testimonials, and should prove an acquisition to the neighbourhood.
