The ' Argus' telegram from Aden, bringing down the news from Eurcpe to the end of October, has been productive of great excitement in the city, and its warlike character hsis tended stiU further to depress our already unlively commercial condition. The news has hiid the Hfect of lending a stimulus to the by no means active military ardour in these1 colonies, ai d we have the satisfaction of learning that the number .of volunteers already enrolled in. Melbourne and its suburbs amounts to more than. 1,600, most of whom are animated hy a very lively spirit of zeal in the cause of their adopted country. — Argus, Dec. 17.
