Concert.—On Wednesday evening, Mr. George Furby gave a concertfin the Town Hall, Christchurch. The performance was entirely vocal, and the performers few. The various parts were however well sustained,' and the pieces effectively rendered, especially the part song, "The Hardy Horseman," by three voices, and the well-known duet " The Minute Gun at Sea," both of which elicited much applause. There was an amusing dramatic interlude in which the acting of Mr. Furby in the various characters sustained by him seemed to afford general satisfaction. The attendance, which perhaps might have been altogether about 100, would probably have been more numerous had not the weather been so unpropitious.
