PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT. npHE above township has been surveyed and laid -L off in quarter-acre sections, and is now open for sale, at an upset price uniform with the Government townships. A vessel is now employed as a regular trader to Lyttelton; a jetty and warehouse are already constructed ; and this port will command the shipment of all the wool from the northern district.
