ALPORT has received instructions from Miss Skillicorn, to sell by public auction, at her Store, Colombo Street, Christchurch, ON MONDAY & TUESDAY, the 9th and 10th January next, the following large and valuable assortment of goods, viz.:— Ladies' summer and other dresses in the piece, comprising bareges, muslins,muslin delaines, prints, French merinoes, &c. Ladies' and children's ready made dresses and under clothing, in great variety. Ladies' striped tweed petticoats, knitted jackets, mantles, &c. Children's woollen and cotton socks, cloth gaiters, infants' monthly gowns. Gentlemen's white and regatta shirts, woollen and cotton socks, travelling gaiters, Paisley and woollen travelling shawls. Scarlet blankets, sheeting in pairs, white and blue serge, drab jean, Scotch twill sheeting, cotton lace in great variety. Each tender to stato simply at what uniform per centage, as premium or discount, the work will bo undertaken, on tho standard prieeß fixed by the Government.
