Ross and Wyatt: have accepted offices of emolument,.and have therefore resigned their seats as representatives of the peopte in the Provincial Council. It-remains thereoreforthe two other gentlemen-who have .seats there; to conduct the affairs •of the Government throughthat Assembly.until their colleagues X be again returned. Of course this is very proper bench the Government %vould be. weal?, Mr. White jvilldo as well as any. one eke to second a mo on for Mr. Harman, and to retire when the two others that the law forbids more than three members of the Provineia Council to he at the same time mem bers of the Executive. This law is inviolate TfSr the resignation of .Messrs. Ross and Wy* tt and before their re-election. But so soon £ by the return ot those gentlemen the Treasury seats shtll be filled tip, Mr. White will think iFm hlrdllt to relinquish the distinction and influence of ? member of the Government.
