Since the meeting of the1 Provincial Council on Tuesday evening, it has been officially announced that the new Executive has been filled up with the names of Mr. E. J. S. Harman, President, Messrs G. A. E. Eoss, C. W, Wyatt, A. E. White, and IC. J. Bridge. ; .-■'■■••

Mr .Boss has Jreceivecl the appointment of Provincial Secretary, and Keeper of the Public Eecords: Mr. Wyatt takes the office of Provincial Solicitor and Crown Prosecutor. .Mr. White and Mr. Bridge are without office-; the former being a member for the Provincial Council (for Akaroa); the latter, not. The acceptance of office by Mr. Ross and Mr: Wyatt vacates the seat for the Eakaia district and one for the Avon district. Both gentlemen stand foiv re-election. .The*nomination for the Ealjaia will take place on the 17th (Thursday), for the Avon on the 18th (Friday). The polling for the Avon vn\l take place on Saturday, the 19th, and tor Rakaia on Monday, the 21st of November. As we understand that ai requisition to Mr. C C JJoweni is ir. course of signature by the Avon electors, Mr. Wyatt will have to encounter opposition, and perhaps Mr. Ross will not be unopposed. : We would call the attention of our readers- to the advertisemerit which appears to-day, .of a lecture by the Eev.
