The good folks of Auckland were on the quivive this morning at daylight, on seeing a barque at anchor inside the North Head, and which was, at once, assumed to be either the Swordfish or Traveller; she turns out, however, to be neither, but a .-new, purchase made by Mr. Robertson for his firm {Bain, Graham and Co.) and intended as an addition to the goodly fleet of Auckland and Sydney traders. The new-comer, a remarkably good looking wholesome craft, is called the Frowning Beauty, and is in charge of our old friend Capt. Dunning, one of the best and most indefatigable masters out of the port of Auckland. The, Frowning Beauty is a ship of 367 tons register, stands Al., and was built at Sunderland of the best English Oak. She has made an excellent passage of eleven days, and that notwithstanding she has 500 tons of cargo and is as deep as a sand'barge. She took her departure from Port, Jackson Heads on the 9th instant at noon having been towed to sea by a steamer; had a good dealiof; rough weather during the first day, and being down to the channels her decks were continually a-wash; sighted the Three Kings at daylight of the 17th, and had moderate breezes from S. to W. along the coast, The new craft was bought, fitted out, loaded, and sent to sea by Mr. Robertson, in the brief space of seven days. On this head the 'Sydney Herald' of the 7th instant remarks :—" The Frowning Beauty, under the command of Captain Dunning, formerly of the Gertrude, sails for Auckland in a day or two. Within the last week she has taken in 500 tons of cargo. Workmen have also been constantly employed in making such alterations in the cabin as ■will materially conduce to the comfort of passengers. She is a very roomy vessel, snd appears well adapted for the Auckland trade. "—New Zealander. June 20.

Tire clipper barque Lochnagar, Captain George Jenkins, sails for London this day with a bumper cargo of colonial produce. The manner in which this fine vessel has been discharged, loaded, and dispatched, in our mid-winter months, in little more than ten weeks, redounds greatly to the credit of the agents, as well as that of Captain Jenkins, his officers, and ship's company. The Lochnagar is in beautiful trim, and will, we trust, have a speedy and prosperous run home. We, in common with the many friends he has made during his stay amongst us, hope soon to welcome Capt. Jenkins back again. — Neio Zealander,. June 18.
