DIOCESAN SYNOD, nnHE BISHOP OF CHRISTCHURCH -B- gives notice that the first meeting- of the synod of the diocese will be held at Christcliurch on the 11th day of" August next. The Synod will consist of three orders— 1. The Bishop 2. The Licensed Clergy : 3. The Representatives bf the Laity, 19 members. Any lay communicant of the diocese may be elected to serve as a synodsman, or representativeof the laity.
