Houses and Stock.—Mr. Fawdingtbn and Mr. Guinness report as follows:— - ; ': y-
Mr. Barnard sold by auction on Saturday about 18 horses. They realised from £20 to £55, averaging about £40. Considering the poor condition the horses were in, the price must be considered good.
The well known horse Scrip was bought by Mr. Lee of Kaiapoi for £145.
We also sold an entire, draught horse for £80 cash. We regret to hear that Mr. Cracroft Wilson's Arab horse Wanderer died on Saturday, having met with an accident a few days ago.
