THE ADMIRALTY.
The' London Gazette' of January 26 contains the following announcement .— Whitehall, Jan. 26. —The Queen has been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, constituting and appointing the Right Hon. Sir John Somerset Pakington, Bart., Vice Admiral William Fanshawe Martin, Vice Admiral the Hon, Sir Richard Saunders Dundas, X.C.8., Rear Admiral Alexander Milne,K.C.B., »Captain the Hon.; Swynfen Thomas Carnegie, C.8., :and Algernon George Percy, Esq. ;(commonly called Lord Loyaine), to be .her Majesty's Commissioners for executing the Office oi Lord High •Admiral of the said United Kingdom of Gi'eat Britain and Ireland, and the dominions, islands, and territories thereunto belonging.
