THE inhabitants of Chris tchurch and Lyttelton are respectfully informed that a PUBLIC BALL will take place at the Town Hall, Christchurch, on the 24th MAY Instant, on which occasion it is hoped there will be a good gathering of her Majesty's loyal subjects. . Tickets may be had of Mr.Norris, Mr. Attwood, Mr. Wilson, Mr. Button, Leader of the Band, the ' Standard' Office and ' Lyttelton Times', and members of the Committee. Gentlemen, 10s. 6d.
