HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for public information, that a Lease of the Tolls of the .Lyttelton Jetty will be put up to Public Auction, at the the Police Office, in Lyttelton, ON FRIDAY, THE 25th INSTANT, at 12 o'Clock. The lease will be for on« year from the 26th instant, .and it will be submitted at an upset rent of £250, payable in equal instalments on the last day of every month. The lessee must engage to exact not higher tolls than those at present .charged. The Lessee must engage that all goods ■shall-be'removed'from the jetty as soon as possible after being landed or placed on it for shipment. If'any goods shall be left on the jetty after four o'clock, p.m,,»the Lessor* will have the right to remove them to so«ie store ; the removal and storage to be at the cpst of the Lessee. . ; ■ ■' The Lessee must scrape and .•tar the jetty nnd paint the gates once in the course of the 3'ear, and keep the rails nnd gates in thorough repair." All other repairs will be at the cost of the Lessors. The Lessee must keep the cranes in working order.
