That the resolution agreed to at the meeting of 6th December, limiting the amount of "subscriptions to-One Sovereign be rescinded, and that the subscriptions be unlimited, whether in money, labour, or materials. 2nd. Ollivier, Esq. and seconded by Mr. McCabdell, — That thJ3 meeting deems it expedient that the inhabitants of Christchureh immediately enrol themselves as a Fire' Brigade, for the purpose of working Fire Engines and otherwise assisting to extinguish fires in the town. 3rd. Proposed by Mr. W. Paeish and seconded by Mr. F. L. Rees, — That an advertisement be inserted in the Lyttelton and Christchurch Newspapers calling attention to the first resolution of this evening and notifying the appointment of a committee For the purpose of canvassing the towns and country districts for subscriptions. Such committee to consist of the following gentlemen, viz.,— Mr. C. W. Bishop Mr. R. Sutcliffe — John Anderson — J. Ollivier — Win. Thomson — W. Harrington jun. — C. W. Wyatt — W. Parish — F.
