AT A PUBLIC MEETING OF THE xA_ Members of. the Church of England, in Lyttelton, held on Monday Evening, the Bth of November, it was resolved that in consequence of the funds already subscribed being inadequate for the building of a stone church, as originally intended, the committee be directed to undertake the construction of a church as capacious and as permanent in character as possible, in any material which they may deem desirable. All persons, therefore, who have subscribed specially to a stone church are at liberty to withdraw their subscriptions within one month from this date. The committee are still disposed to undertake the building of a stone church, according to the design already approved, in case subscribers should double their contributions.
