A T A PUBLIC MEETING OF THE £*- 'Members of the.Church of England, in Lyttelton, held on Monday Evening, the Sth of •November, it was resolved that in consequence of; the funds already subscribed being inadequ-ite for the building of a stone church, as originally intended, the committee be directed to undertake the construction of a church as capacious and as permanent in character as possible, in any material which they may deem desirable. All persons, therefore, who have subscribed specially to a stone church are at liberty to withdraw their subscriptions within, one month from this date. j The committee are still disposed to undertake the building of a stone church, according to the design already approved; in case subscribers should double their contributions.
