Malta, August 9
Vice Admiral Fanshawe, with her Majesty's ships Marlborough, Conqueror, and Centurion, remain cruising off the port, the Vigilant and Coquette occasionally going out with fresh meat, mails, Sec.; Commander Glynn, of the Coquette leaves for England this day, having been supersededed at his own request. Captain Inglefield, R. A., resigned the Brigade Major of Malta, and returns to Enirlnnd this day. Captain JBurnside, 21st Royal North British Fusiliers, succeeds him. Major Pearson, first Brigade Major, has left for England, and Captain Gott, Royal Malitia Fencihles succeeds him.
In consequence of Malta not havingestablished a longer quarantine from Bengazi and Tripoli, the Colombo was subjected to two days' quarantine at Alexandria, since which a meeting- of the board of Health has increased the quarantine from Bangazi to twenty-one days, and imposed longer terms than usual from other ports of Barbarj. It is reported that her Majestj-'s ship Wanderer relieves her Majesty's ship Princess Royal at Alexandria, which vessel will rejoin the fleet; and her Majesty's ship O'sprey relieves the Vulture at Candia.
