Each Design -must be accompanied by a detnUed estimate of the cost-.of .construction, which must not exceed twelve thousand pounds. Fit'ty pounds will be paid for the best, and twenty-five pounds for the second best design. The designs to become the property of the Provincial Government. The whole of the designs- received will br; submitted fcp Colonel-Mould, Consultirig Engineer to the Colony, by whose judgment the Provincial Government will be guided in their award. Tlie Provincial Engineer's designs will be submitted- to Colonel Mould with' the rest, out will not be admitted-to the competition for the premiums. The ground on each side of the River is flat for some distance, and. the banks s»ve on a level with the line of the highest freshes. . . : .
