KAIAPOI BUILDING SOCIETY.

At a meeting called by public advertisement, and held in Mr. Wylde's office on Tuesday last, the sth instant, Mr. Wylde in the chair, the following resolutions were passed. Ist. That it is desirable that a society should j be formed to be called " The Kaiapoi Land, | Building, and Investment Society." 2nd. That a list should be at once opened for , the purpose of enrolling members. 3rd. That the following gentlemen be ap- ; pointed as a Provisional Committee, with j power to add to their number, viz., Messrs. < Blakiston, Black, Spillard, G. S. Day, Hutchinson, and Wylde, and that three members of the committee shall be a quorum. 4th._ That tho Provisional Committee be authorized to receive applications for shares and

to draw up rules, and that an entrance fee of 2s. 6d. be paid on each share applied for. 5. That the meeting be adjourned to Tuesday, the 19th instant, at 7 o'clock, at Mr. Wylde's office, to receive the report of the committee.

At the close of the meeting, 45 shares were applied for by those present.
