WHEREAS I, William Sefton Moorhouse, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, did, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, prorogue the Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury on the 24th day of February, 1858, and the said Provincial Council, did stand prorogued accordingly till the 3rd day ,of September, 185S ; and whereas it is expedient that the Session of the said Provincial Council shall be further prorogued :— Now, therefore, I, in pursuance of the powers, vested in rr.e, do hereby further prorogue the said Provincial Council, and Summon the sairie for despatch of business on FRIDAY,, the Ist day of October, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight.
