That magnificent Thoroughbred Imported Stallion "CHATTER BOX," bred by Mr. Watts, in 1847, got by Magpie, out of Clare by Smoleusko, her dam by Precipitate—Highflyer—Juuo by Spectator. " Chatterbox " is a vei"3 r bright bay, stands 15f hands high, possessing plenty of boneiand power, and for thoroughbred points has not his equal in the colony, at the same time being a remarkably sure foal-getter. The Splendid, Thoroughbred, imported, Stallion, "WIL II AM TELL." " William Tell " was bred by. Lord Stanley, grot by Touchstone out of Miss Bmve; Mis-s Bowe bred by Mr. Townroe, got by Cation out of Tranbv's dam, by Orville—Miss Grimston, by Weazel. Vide Stud Book, vol 5, p. 205; "William Tell" is a rich dark bay, with black points, free from white, stands 15f lianas high, with great bone and muscular power, and is allowed to be one of the finest .stallions ever imported into the colony; he is sire of the celebrated race horses Seducer^ Our Nell, the Wild Irish Girl, and several other first class horses. Seducer won the Maiden Plate at Homebush, in 1853, beating a large field, time 3 mm., 15 sec, the fastest race on record; and Our Nell won the Maiden Plate, same course, in 1854, in 3 mm. 21 sec, won easily. G. T. Rowe, Esq., the owner of " William Tell," was also the owner of the celebrated horse " Veno." N.B. Each horse submitted to auction will be positively sold without>,reserve.
