IN consequence of numerous expressions of disappointment and regret at the non-publication of the above work for the current year which have repeatedly come to the notice of the Proprietors of the "Lyttelton Times," they have determined upon resuming its publication, in order to meet the requirements of the colony. THE ALMANAC FOR 1859 will contain, besides a carefully constructed EPHEMERIS and CALENDAR, a complete OFFICIAL DIRECTORY for the ISLANDS, a Compendium of COLONIAL STATISTICS, • a COASTING DIRECTORY according to "the latest authorities, Political, Ecclesiastical, Agricultural, and Mercantile Information, and a large amount of other matter, interesting and useful to all classes in the colony. TO GENERAL ADVERTISERS The New Zealand Almanac, commanding as it has always done an extensive sale throughout New Zealand, offers a Circulating Medium not otherwise to be met with ; the terms for Advertisements are : —For every inch of space (page wide), three shillings; or, per page (foolscap octavo), twelve shillings. Orders will be received at this Office, or by any of the Agents for the " Lyttelton Times," previously to the 20th of NOVEMBER; and the Almanac will be published in the beginning: of DECEMBER.
