To the Editor of tlie Lyttelton Times. Sik,—l have been expecting in every number of your journal, to see some answer to a letter •which appeared a short time since signed "Basso." Surely, sir, the remaining members of the Lyttelton Choral Society cannot be so apathetic - or careless about the society's property as to take no heed of it whatever. Yet lam credibly informed such is the case. I would suggest that the music be presented to the Colonists' Society, for the use of any choral society that may hereafter be established in Lytelton, and present the piano to the late | "respected conductor, without whose exertions .the society would have never been in existence. 3y doing this the few remaining members will -do something towards helping any future musical society in Lyttelton, for they cannot ex- " pect that the Lyttelton Choral Society will rise Phoenix-like from its own ashes. I am, yours, &c, August 7. OXONIENSIS.
