The ' Albury Telegraph' gives the following .particulars by telegram from Melbourne, dated ■ July 9 :■ —" Business continues quiet.—Mour shows symptoms of a decline.—Cattle market without alteration; though the auctioneers report a fair amount of business.—There is very little-general news.—The Mayor entertained the Governor and General Macarthur at dinner yesterday.—There are no signs of the mail steamer.—Cornet Home has been cashiered by court martial for the act of insubordination mentioned in our last telegram.—The Geelong and Ballaarat Railway contract has lapsed, owing to the contractor, Mr. Munson, having failed to make the stipulated deposit of £30,000. —[The details of prices did not vary from the quotations given in our last issue.—E.
