An advertisement from Akaroa found its way into our co umns of last issue, in the regular roS tine of business, which should not have, been admitted had our attention been drawn to it.^ A ioke against Government or any public body is quite fair. But we cannot allow even our advertising columns to become a medium for unseemly- personalities directed against private individuals.'"
