TURKEY.

A considerable political change has been made in Turkey. The Sultan has informed the representatives of foreign powers that they will not in future be received by him except on the introduction of his minister of Foreign Affairs, * according to the usage of other European courts ; and that notice must be given some days previously to the Porte, in order that the Sultan's pleasure.may be taken on the interview. This step would have been taken before, it is said, but that Lord Stratford de Eedeliffe stood in the way. He had long enjoyed the privilege of direct personal intercourse; and the other Ambassadors were accustomed to imitate him in rushing into the Sultan's presence in order to influence the Government. To put an end to the unseemly practice, the Sultan has now adopted the usage of European courts.
