WHEELER & NtTRSE; omnibus proprietors, in returning thanks to the -public of Canterbury for the liberal support and patronage they have received for the last four years, and having considered the inconvenience travellers have experienced from want of tyjovered conveyance, beg t6 inform their patronmhat they have just received, per ship Hastings, an omnibus, from one of the first makers in London, which they intend running between Lyttelton and Christchurch, as soon as the cuttings and alterations at the foot of the bridle path, necessary for""" enabling the omnibus to turn, are-completed. The ompibus will starfat the same hours as the cart has been accustomed to leave Lyttelton and Christchurch, viz., from the Golden Fleece, Christchurch, conveying the mails, at 9 a.m., returning from the cottage at the-foot of the bridle path §V 1° krs. 45 mm. a.m., starting again from Christchurch at 3 p.m., and returning from the cottage with the inland mail, at 4 p.m.^in connection with the pack-horse which leaves Lyttelton morning and afternoon in time to meet the Omnibus. N.B.—The pack-horse will leave the Mitre Hotel at 9 a.m., and at S p.m.., conveying the mails and luggage. All parcels left with Mr. Nurse, TSFb. 3, London Street, Lyttelton, at the White Hart Hotel, Christchurch, or at Mr. Wheeler's, near'the Royal Hotel, Chrjstchmrch, will meat with immediate attention.
