W;E,being willing1 by reason of your merits to confer on you a suitable Title of Promotion, do create you a Public Notary, previous examination and the other Requisites to be herein observed having been had. And do out of our favour ' towards you admit you into the number' and ' society of other Notaries, to the end that you I may henceforward at Christchurch, in the Colony of A rew. Zealand, aforesaid, and also in allotlier Her Majesty's Foreign Territories, Colonies, and Dominions, and not in any other place whatever, exercise such Office of Notary, hereby decreeing that full faith-ought to be given as well in judgment as thereout to the instruments to be made by you after the Oaths hereunder written shall have been, inquired of you and by you taken. (Here follows Oath of Allegiance Oath of Supremacy Oath as to Conduct in Office Oath as to Domicile.) Provided Always that these presents 'do not avail you anything until the Oaths on the Commission, bearing date the nineteenth day of January, in the year of our Xord one thousand " eight hundred and fifty-eight, as above prescribed, be subscribed and duly taken by you pursuant to the tenor of the said Commission, and the Certificate endorsed on these presents as to the Execution of the said Commission be subscribed by the. proper Officer, before whom the said Oaths shall be taken, and sealed with his Official Seal; and also unless "these presents are duly registered and subscribed by the Clerk of Her Majesty for Faculties in Chancery.
