WHEELER & NURSE i.VX, omnibus proprietors, in returning thanks to the' public of Canterbury for the iiberal support; and ; patronage they have received! for the last four .years, and having considered the; inconvenience travellers have experienced from want of a covered conveyance, beg to inform their patrons that they have just received,,per ship Hastings, an omnibus, from one of the first makers in London, which they intend' runningbetween Lyttelton and Christchurch, as soon as the >cuttings and alterations at the foot of, the bridle path, necessary for ! enabling,the. omnibus to turn, are completed. !: -Thesomnibuswiilstart at the same hours as the cart has been accustomed to leave Lyttelton and .Christchurch, viz., from the Golden Fleece, , Christchurch, conveying the mails, at 9 a.m., returning fiom the cottage at the foot of the bridle path at 10 hrs. 45 mm. a.m., startingagain from Christchurch at 3 p.m., and returning from the cottage with the inland mail, at 4 p.m., in connection with the packrhorse which leaves Lyttelton morning and afternoon in time to meet the omnibus. N.B.—The pack-horse will leave the Mitre Hotel at 9 a.m., and at 3 p.m., conveying the .mails and luggage. All parcels left with Mr. Nurse, No. 3, Lon - don Street, Lyttelton, at the White Hart Hotel, Christchurch, or at Mr. ■ Wheeler's, near the Royal Hotel, Christchurch, will meet with im- . mediate attention. WHEELER & NURSE, Mail Contractors, beg to inform the inhabitants of Canterbury that they have started aspringconveyance between Christ church and Kaiapoi, and hope, by strict attention to i orders and a due regard to the comfort of pasi sengers, to -meet-with a share of public patronage- : The conveyance will start from the Golden Fleece, Christehurch, every Monday and Thursday, half-an hour after the first omnibus returns from. Lyttelton; and leave the Northern Hotel, Kaiapoi, for Christchurch, half-an hour after the arrival of the Rangiora mail, and in time to catch the omnibus leaving Christchurch , for Lyttelton-in the afternoon.
