WHEELER & NURSE - omnibus proprietors, in returningthanks to the public of Canterbury for the liberal support and patronage they have re-, ceived for the last four years, and having considered the inconvenience travellers have experienced from want of a covered conveyance, beg to inform their patrons that they have just received, per ship Hastings, an omnibus, from one of the first maker-sin London, which they intend running between Lyttelton and Christchurch, as soon as the cuttings and alterations at the : foot of the bridle .path, necessary for ; enabling the omnibus to turn, are completed. The omnibus will start at the same hours as the cart has been accustomed to leave Lyttelton and Christchurch, viz., from the Golden Fleece, Christchurch, conveying the mails, at 9 a.m., returning from the cottage at the foot of the bridle path .at 10 hrs. 45 mm. a.m., starting again from. Christchurch at 3 p.m., and returning from, the cottage with the inland mail, at 4 p.m., in connection with the ..pack-horse which leaves Lyttelton morning and afternoon in time to meet the omnibus. N.B.—The pack-horse, will leave the Mitre Hotel at 9 a.m., and at 3.p.m., conveying the mails andluggag'e.
