On Wednesday .'Messrs. It. Waitt & Co. sold hy auction, at Christchurch Quay, a quantity of ■Ti nab!o kauri timber, the cargo of the Acis, Oipfc. Tliompson, from Auckland. The attendance and competition were moderate, and the prices obtained were fair, the timber being of .excellent quality. Tongued and grooved boards fetched 41s. to 435. per 100 ft. 9-inch boards, linch, and jj-inch thick, 28s. to 335. Scantling, 265. to 275. The whole cargo has been disposed jpf,and averaged 30s. all-round.
