A suitable steamer has been ordered from Sydney, and may be expected to arrive within a very short period. Applications for shares will be received up to the 31st December. Sir, —I request you vill allot me Shares in the Canterbury Steam Navigation Company, and I engage to pay the deposit on the same, and any further- calls that may be made. To or from the River Heathcote, 2s. 6d. To or from Kaiapoi, ss. 0 Charging extra for luggage over 14 IDs. Freights and Passage Money to or from other places to be by special arrangement with the Manager. All freights will be considered due on the arrival of the Steamer, before the delivery of the o-oods. The Company will not be responsible for goods after landing them on the wharves or places of discharge.
