For example: every immigrant on redemption of his Promissory Note or Kotes, will be entitled to receive ten acres of land for'every Twenty Pounds he he shall have paid on account of the Passage of himself and family.. These grants of land will either he made out of blocks specially reserved for Immigration purposes in Small Farm; or Agricultural Settlement^ or in the immediate vicinity of, Roads in process of construction; or the Immigrant may select the quantity to which he shall be declared entitled out of any lands open to purchase as Rural. In order to facilitate the location of Immigrants desirous, of immediately settling upon land and. of being employed on the, Public Works, Reserves will be made wherever practicable, along or near each line of road, and will be laid off; in Ten-^cre. Sections, which the Immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a conveyance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of their Passage Money. Holders of Pasturage Licenses of 5,000 acres and upwards will be required, on payment of their rent, to give to the Board a written declaration of the numbers and description of stock depasturing on their respective runs on the said" Ist day of May, as required by the 55th Clause of the Land Regulations.
