amount of his Passage Money. For example: every immigrant on redemption of his Promissory Note or Notes, will be entitled to receive ten acres of land for every Twenty Pounds he he shall have paid on account of the Passage of himself and family. These grants of land will either be made but of blocks specially reserved for Immigration purposes in Small Farm or Agricultural Settlements, or in the immediate vicinity of Roads in process of construction j or the Immigrant may select the quantity to which he shall be declared entitled out of any lands open to purchase^ as Rural. In order to facilitate the location of Immigrants desirous of immediately settling upon land and of being employed on the Public Works, Reserves will be made wherever practicable, along or near each line of road, and will he laid off in Ten-acre Sections, which the Immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a conveyance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of their Passage Money. Parties desirous of availing themselves of this privilege in the block at present being surveyed in the Grrey^Town Settlement, are requested to make immediate application to the undersigned, who will give any further information that may be required. Holders of "Pasturage Licenses of 5,000 acres and upwards will be required, on payment of their rentj to give to the Board a written declaration of the numbers and description of stock depasturing on their respective runs on the said Ist day. of May, as required by the 55th Clause of the Land Regulations. Notice is also "hereby given, that, the runs between the "Rakaia and Ashburton Rivers being npw in course of survey, Holders of Pasturage Incenses within that District will be required to pay their proportion of the cost of the said survey, (at the rate of eleven shillings per 1,000 acres) on or before the Ist of September next.
