THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT of Wellington': will,in pursuance of the.Resolution of the, Provinoial Council, be prepared to convey'to each immigrant, (introduced under their Regulations) as soon as.he shall have redeemed; his Promissory Note or Notes, a quantity'of land equal in value (at the' rate of 10s. an .acre) to One fourth of the amount of hisf Passage. Money. For example : _ every immigrant on redemption of his Promissory. Note or Notes, wili be. entitled to receive ten acres of'land for every Twenty Pounds he he shall have paid on account of the Passage of himself and family! These grants'of land will either be.made out of blocks specially reserved for Immigration purposes in Small Farm or Agricultural Settlements;.er. in the immediate vicinity of Roads in process of construction; ,or the Immigrant may select the quantity to which he shall be declared entitled out of any lands open to purchase as Rural. In order to facilitate the location of Immi- - grants desirous of immediately settling upon land and of. being employed on the Public Works, Reserves will be made wherever practicable*- along or near each line-of road, and will be laid off in Ten-acre Sections, which the , Immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a conveyance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of then* Passage Money. ' HHHE Commissioners of the Waste -*- Lands Board will sit at the Land Office, Christchurch, on SATURDAY, the Ist of May next, at 10 a.m., for the purpose of receiving Pasturage License Fees under the Waste Lands Regulations (Ist April, 1856, Clause 51) now in force within this Province.' Holders of Pasturage Licenses of 5,000 acres and upwards-will be required, on payment of "their rent, to give to the Board"a: written declaration of the numbers and description' of stpek depasturing on their respective runs on the said Ist day of May, as required by the 55th Clause of the Land Regulations. •' Notice is also hereby.given, that, the runs , between the Rakaia and Ashburton Rivers being now in course of survey, Holders of Pasturage Licenses within that District will be required to pay their proportion of the cost of the said survey, (at the rate of eleven shillings per 1,000 acres) on or before the Ist. of September next.
