For London, ship Glentanner, and barque Oriental, with despatch. ARRIVAL OF WOOI. COASTWISE. March 17, per Julia Ann, from Amuri, 40 bales. The Canterbury left Wellington on Wednesday, and arrived in this harbour on Thursday evening with a large number of passengers. The Jeanie Dove had brought the December mail from Melbourne after a passage of 22 days. There was no other late arrival in Port Nicholson. The wreck and total loss of the French whaler Elizabeth, Captain Painblanc, at the Chatham Islands, on the 13th ult., is reported. The crew were all saved and brought to Wellington in the Seine, American whaler.

ENGLISH SHIPPING. The Montmorency sailed from Gravesend for Wellington and Canterbury, Dec. 15th. The following vessels were loading and would have quick despatch:— For Otago and Canterbury, the Nourmahal. For Wellington and Canterbury, the Ambro • sine. For Otago, from * the Clyde, the Strathfieldsaye.
