The office of the Bank will be at Messrs. Gould and Miles', arid will be open every Saturday between the hours of seven and eight o'clock p.m. The following'gentlemen have been gazetted as District Trustees': —H. E. Alport, John Bealey, C. (if declared before the first Saturday in September, 1859) with £100 added, for 3 year olds. One mile-and a half. Weights 8 st. 7 lbs. Mares and geldings allowed 4 lbs. No horse or mare to carry more than 5 lbs. overweight. Entries to be sent under sealed cover to the Secretary C. J. Club, Cnnstchurch, on or before 6 p.m., on the day of settling for the Canterbury Races for 1859, of which day notice will appear in a future advertisement. THE CANTERBURY TWO YEAR OLD STAKES, .1860. The Canterbury two year old Stakes of 5 guineas each, h. ft. with £50 added, for 2 year olds. Half a mile. Weights 8 st. 7 lbs. Mares and geldings allowed 4 lbs. AT a Meeting of the subscribers to the Riccarton Church, held on the 25 th of February, Archdeacon -Mathias in the chair,, the Treasurers produced their ■ accounts, from which it* appears that the Church, with the fittings, had cost £315 Bs. 7d., and that the subscriptions received to the present time"amount to £268 35., leaviriga balance due to the Treasurers of £117 os. 7d.
