NOTICE. THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTIONS, \ GREED upon at an adjourned An--£X, nual Meeting of the Church Property, Trustees, as to the distribution of the General Trust Funds for the present year, are published for the information of members of the Church of England within the Settlement: 1. "-That it is desirable that the clergy having parochial charge snail give their undivided time and energies to the work of the Miiistry. 2. " That no incumhent shall receive any aid j from the Church Property Trustees unless he be willing to place his entire services at the discretion of the Diocesan. 3. " That it is essential, before any assistance be given from the Trust Fund, that all contributions should be paid to the Treasurer quarterly or, half-yearly in advance, but in every case, the stipend allotted by the Church Trustees shall be paid at the end of each quarter to the several clergymen. The case of any district failing to contribute the amount stipulated shall be referred to the Bishop, with the Archdeacon and Lay members of the Committee of Management, who shall determine whether the services of the clergyman, or any portion of them, shall be given elsewhere. 4. " That the Trustees consider that the income of a clergyman in full orders, giving his whole time to the ministry, should for the present be not less than £300 per annum, with a residence, or equivalent money payment. 5. "That if more than £300 per annum and the sum required for providing a residence be raised in any parochial district, the surplus be appropriated to Church purposes within the district where it has been collected. 6. " That for the current year the income of the General Trust, amounting probably to £500, be distributed as follows :— The Archdeacon of Akaroa ... £25 Christchurclr, with Middle .Heathcote 50 Lyttelton, with Governor's Bay - - 70 Akaroa, with German and Robinson's Bay 50 Avonside - -30 Riccarton, with Upper Heathcote - - 50 Lower Heathcote, with Sumner - - 30 £305 The balance to be applied for the payment of clergymen serving in those districts where no regular contributions have yet been raised sufficient for the maintenance of a resident clergyman."
