THE NELSON YACHT CLUB will give a CHALLENGE CUP, value 50 guineas, to be sailed for in Blind Bay, at the NELSON ANNUAL REGATTAS., by Boats not exceeding 50 tons, belonging to any of the New Zealand Provinces. The Regatta for the year 1858 will take place on Thursday, the 18th March.' The Matches for the Cup to be sailed in accoidance with the rules of the Nelson Yacht Club, under the direction of the sailing committee for the time being. The distance, out and home, not to exceed 14 miles; time to be allowed for tonnage. The bond fide owner of a competing Boat from'any of the sister provinces will be deemed an honorary member of the Club for the occasion, and, as such, be entitled to all its privileges.
