As the harvest advances it exhibits a decided improvement over most former years in abun* dance and regularity. The bank has however considerably restricted the accommodation previously offered to shipper^of wooL Money is tighter also in general operations. On Thursday, Messrs. Waitt and Co. sold by auction fifty acres of freehold land at the Heathcote ferry, in acre allotments, the whole being planned as a township. One acre, on which the Heathcote Arms stands, leased far seven years unexpired at a low rental, fetched £125. The highest price obtained for an unimproved acre was £90, and the lowest £11. The whoje block was disposed of at an average price of £22 ss. per acre.
