THE POLLING FOR THE SUPERINTENDENCY.
We draw the attention of electors to the following points generally accepted as the rules of polling:— The polling takes place ■on Friday, the 30th instant, at every polling place in the province, commencing at nine o'clock in the morning, and closing precisely at four o'clock in the afternoon. '. Each elector can only vote once, although his jname may be _on the electoral roll for various districts. An elector is at. liberty.to- record his vote at ;any one of the polling places most convenient to jhimself, although such polling place may not be in the district in which he resides or is registered. ; The polling places for the election of Supertendent are described in the Returning Officer's snotice of writ; the only change which has been ;made is of one in the Ashley'district, from Mr. iTorlesse's house, Rangiora, to the Woolshed, Mairaki Downs. The Returning Officer has announced that the state of the poll will be declared at the Town Hallj Christehurch, on Wednesday, the 4th day of November next, at noon.
