On the day of revision, proof of the service of notice will be required before any objection is considered. AKAROA. 6. The Akaroa district comprises all that portion of the province included within the sea coast and a line drawn from a point on the sea coast, half way between the westernmost head of Pigeon Bay and the easternmost head of Port Albert (or Levy) southerly to the head of the Little River, and thence along that river and Lake Forsythe to the sea coast. , Claims for this district are to be addressed to the Resident Magistrate, Akaroa, and delivered either at the Court House Akaroa, at Mr. Tuson's house, Okain's Bay, or at the school house. Pigeon Bay. PORT VICTORIA. 7. The Port Tic tor ia district comprises all that portion of the province included between the coasts of the sea, Lake Forsythe, and Lake Ellesmere,, the Akaroa district' and the western boundary of the Kaituna ru,n No. 30, passing through trig pole 1 7 and the Heathcote district, exclusive of the town of Lyttelton district. Claims for this district are to be addressed to the Resident Magistrate, and delivered either at Mr. Rhodes' house, Purau, at Mr. Blatchfort's school house, Governor's Bay, or at the Court House, Lyttelton. ASHLEY. 8. The Ashley district comprises all that portion of the province lying north of the south bank of the river Waimakariri and of a line drawn due west from the source of the river to the west coast, not including the Kaiapoi district. Claims for this district are to be addressed to the Resident Magistrate, and delivered either at Teviotdale station, on the north bank of the Waipara, at Mr. Torlesse's house, Rangiora, or at the Court House, Kaiapoi. RAKAIA. 9. The Rakaia district comprises all that portion of the province bounded on the north by the Ashley district; on the east .by the Avon, Heathcote, and Port Victoria districts, and the sea coas v t; on the west by the sea coast; and on the south by the north bank of the southernmost branch of the river Ashburton, and a line drawn due west from the t source of that branch to the sea coast. Claims for this district are to be addressed to Mr. G. A. E. Ross, and delivered either at Mr. Ross's station, at Mr. E. Chapman's station on the Rakaia, or at Mr. Parlby's public-house on the Waikirikiri or Selwyn. TIMARTT. . 10. The Timaru district comprises all that part of the province lying south and southwest of the Rakaia district. Claims for this district are to be addressed to the Resident Magistrate, Timaru, and delivered either at the Resident Magistrate's Office, Timaru, at Mr. Mac Donald's station, Talbot Forest, or at the Provincial Council Chamber, Christchurch. FORM OI1 CLAIM. bir G. Grey's proclamation, clause 24, provides that :— "24. Every such claim shall be in writing, and shall state the name of the District or Districts in respect of which it shall be made, and shall be signed by the Claimant, or by some other person in his name and by his authority, and shall state also the place of abode and calling or business of [the Claimant, and the qualification in respect of which such|claim may be made.'* It is desirable but not necessary to describe the place from which the claimant qualifies. N.B. Forms of claims to vote can be obtained at the office of the 'Lyttelton Times,' or from the agents of the paper in town and country.
