ON the occasion of the Opening of the Sumner *Road by His Honor the Superintendent, on MONDAY NEXT, AUGUST 24th, A PUBLIC DINNER will take place under his Honor's special patronage, at the UNIVERSAL HOTEL, LYTTELTON. Dinner will be on the Table at Two o'Clock. Tickets, 10s. each (including wine, &c.,) to be had, up to Saturday Evening, Aug. 22nd, at the Universal Hotel, and the " Times" Office, Lyttelton, and at the "Standard " Office, Christchurch.
