In conclusion, gentlemen, I promise that, if elected, I will devote myself entirely to the promotion of the social and political welfare of the province; that I will adhere faithfully to the constitution, and will never be a party to its infringement or evasion, either directly or indirectly ; and that, in so far as may devolve on me, I will always endeavour to secure to the public the services of the ablest and best men, in all departments of the Provincial Government. Before the day of election I hope to have frequent opportunities of more fully explaining my opinions.
