"TVTOTICE is Hereby Given, that the J3I several sections of Land specified in the subjoined list .will be submitted to PUBLIC AUCTION, at the Sitting of the Waste Lands Board, to be held at the Land Office, Christchurch, on THURSDAY, the 23rd day of JULY, 1857, at the hour of Noon, subject to the usual conditions of Sale, in conformity with the Regulations for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown, now in force within the said province. ' CHEISTCHURCH DISTRICT, NEAB HEATHCOTE .FEEEY. 18 ... 702 ... 10 0 0 ... 20 0 0 MANDEVILLE DISTEICT. 19 ... 738 ... 15 2 0 ... 31 0 0 meE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT j I of the Province of Canterbury in New Zealand, beingl desirous of establishing a regular Postal Communication between Melbourne and Lyttelton, is prepared to pay the undernamed sums to the Master of any vessel bringing down the English Mail from Melbourne, and taking a mail back to Melbourne to meet the English Steamers, subject to the following conditions :•— 1. That the Master shall, produce a certificate from the Post Office authorities ! t«t Melbourne stating that he applied for the mail immediately on the arrival of the English Mail Stealuer. 2. That he shall produce a similar certificate stating the day and hour upon which the mail is put on. board his vessel. 3. That he shall sail from Lyttelton with the return mail to Melbourne as soon as he conveniently can, and shall not, unless compelled by stress of weather, call at any intermediate port either coining or returning.
