"TTT'HEREAS it has been represented to V Y the Commissioners of the Waste Lands Board that parties art unlawfully cutting timber on Banks'Peninsula, Talbot and Harewood forests, and other part& of the province, NOTICE is hereby given, that any person found cutting timber on any of the Waste laiids of the Crown, without a license "previously obtained from this Board, will be proceeded against iff pursuance of the Regulations now in force within this province. . A SPECIAL MEETING of Justices of the Peace will be held at the Resident Magistrate's Court, in Lyttelton, on MONDAY, the Sixth day of July next, at 11 a.m., and at the Resident Magistrate's Court, in Christchurch, on TUESDAY, the Seventh day of July next, at 11 a.m., for the purpose of granting Slaughter-House Licenses for the. ensuing year. Persons desirous of obtaining licenses are reminded that they must forward to the'clerk of the Bench, ten days before the above meeting, notice of their intention to apply for a license/and with such notice, a description of the place intended to be licensed.
