NOTICE. mHE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT JL will pay the sum of Twenty Pounds for the best Treatise on the subject of destroying the watercresses and other weeds accumulating in the streams and rivers in the neighbourhood of Christchurch. Every Treatise must be sent in to the Provincial Secretary's Office, Christchurch, before Four o'Clock on the Ist of August next. That Treatise will be considered the best which explains the most efficient,practicable and economical mode of getting rid of the Weeds, especially in the Avon and Heatheote Rivers. An additional sum of Fifty Pounds will be paid to the writer, if his plan be adopted by the Government and prove successful.
