A gentleman, however, had asked Mr. Beeby, during the market dinner on Saturday last, to bid on his account 50 per cent on English cost. This bid escaped Mr. Beeby at the time of Sale (it not being in writing as all orders to buy at Sales should be).- Mr. Beeby, seeing the article going so cheap, bought it for the' Auctioneer.
